June 17, 2013: William Clendenen was elected vice president of the Connecticut Bar Association. The Connecticut Bar Association is the largest association of lawyers in Connecticut, with approximately 10,000 members. Among its important goals are the advancement of justice and the protection of liberty.

April 4, 2013: William Clendenen appointed as a member of the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch Public Service and Trust Commission Pro Bono Committee. The goal of the committee is to assist the Judicial Branch in its mission to provide equal access to all of its facilities, processes and information through the identification and elimination of barriers.
